The four high schools that feed into Ben Franklin Career Center are:
Nitro High School
Sissonville High School
South Charleston High School
St. Albans High School
The other four high schools feed into Carver Career and Technical Education Center; however, if Ben Franklin has a program that Carver doesn't students from those schools can make application at Ben Franklin.
Students may begin applying for programs at the end of their 9th grade year. Most programs accept 10th, 11th, 12th graders; the exceptions are the Medical Programs and Manufacturing Production and Design (only accepts 11th and 12th graders).
