Description
This is a two-year, half- day program for juniors and seniors, which begins in August of each year. This program is designed to prepare students for employment as a medical assistant. Medical Assistants are multi-skilled health professionals who work mainly in outpatient or ambulatory care facilities, such as medical offices. Medical assistants perform both administrative and clinical tasks and their duties, which varies by offices.

Entrance Requirements
Junior or Senior at Kanawha County School. Have good attendance record. GPA of 2.0 or higher.

NRCPT (Nationally Registered Certified Phlebotomy Technician)

CPR
OSHA 10
Student Requirements
Secondary students will need to provide their own scrubs and have transportation to their clinical sites.
